Reclaiming Your Vitality, Together.

About Gemma

I’m a BANT registered Nutritionist & Nutritional Therapy Practitioner dedicated to helping clients with cancer enhance their quality of life, manage the challenges of treatment symptoms, and strengthen their long-term health at every stage of their cancer experience.

My journey to becoming a cancer Nutritionist

My passion for nutrition and lifestyle medicine began in 2016. At the time, I was working for an FTSE 100 fashion company when my health started to decline, ultimately leading to an endometriosis diagnosis. After surgery, I faced a long road to recovery. It was only when I began focusing on nutrition and lifestyle changes that I truly regained my health and vitality.

Before corporate life, I was a detective – a background that has proven invaluable in uncovering the underlying causes of my client’s health issues. Today, I bring that same curiosity to my work as a “nutrition detective,” supporting my clients on their health journeys.

My training

After experiencing the transformative power of Nutritional Therapy, I pursued a formal education in nutrition, graduating with distinction from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. I’m also a BANT Nutrigenomic Counsellor, having completed advanced training in Nutrigenomic testing with Lifecode GX and DNA Life, deepening my understanding of the relationship between our genes and nutrition.

Cancer has touched my life deeply since 2016, inspiring me to pursue specialised training in cancer nutrition support. I gained an NTEC postgraduate qualification in Systems Approach to Cancer, led by an award-winning Integrative Medical Doctor. This advanced training has equipped me to provide informed, compassionate support to individuals navigating cancer treatment and recovery. I understand the unique nutritional challenges that can arise during this time.

Why work with a Nutritionist?

Managing what you eat before, during and after treatment can feel overwhelming. I’m here to simplify that for you. I develop realistic and achievable health plans so you can focus on what matters most, your recovery. I ensure my advice aligns with my client’s current medical treatment while helping them feel empowered through practical, personalised nutrition and lifestyle strategies.

Ways that Nutrition & Lifestyle support can help include:

  • Support Health Awareness: I work with clients who are concerned about a family history of cancer, offering simple, evidence-based steps that support a healthy lifestyle.
  • Manage Treatment Symptoms: Medical cancer treatment can come with a range of side effects that have a systemic effect on the entire body. Whether you’re struggling with poor sleep, reduced appetite, gut issues or fatigue, I’m here to help manage these challenges.
  • Build Resilience before surgery and during treatment: To optimise your health status before surgery, support a smoother transition into recovery, and nourish your immune system.
  • Support Mental Clarity: Strategies to support focus, stress, and cognitive function (often called ‘chemo brain’).
  • Build Confidence & Control: Expert guidance to build confidence in your food choices and empower you with proactive steps for your long-term health.
  • Retain muscle strength and manage weight during treatment.

I’m passionate about creating personalised, food-first plans with vibrant, nutrient-dense recipes that require minimal effort. Each consultation builds on the last and you’ll gain confidence that you know how to nourish your body, support long-term vitality and health, and continue strengthening your body for long-term well-being.

Whether you’re seeking support during cancer treatment, managing long-term health concerns, or looking to optimise your health post treatment, I’m here to help you create a sustainable path to wellness that feels both attainable and rewarding.
